The requirement of the drying of the product needs the varied temperature and the air flow rate for the optimum drying. As the moisture content of the material changes its drying characteristics changes. Similarly due to the presence of moisture the drying air temperature also changes.
Typically on a belt dryer, the drying air should pass through the material for the effective drying. Moreover if the drying air direction is changed alternatively from top and bottom, thus uniform drying is obtained in the moving bed on a conveyor.
There are number of belts handling the material. So depending on the requirements, the height of the material on the bed can be changed effectively by changing the belt speed.
The re-use of the exhaust from one zone to the next zone can also be used to get the energy saving by using the full drying potential of the air.
Thus the same dryer can be used for the large application for the varied products.
